Did you know that an average American puts 13 cosmetic products on themselves each day, most of them for skin care?
Good news is skin care doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, the simpler the better. This goes for both your skin care routine and the ingredients in your products. Here are 3 easy-to-remember tips on skin care.
A - wash
Always wash your face before bed and when you wake up.
Most of us don’t have a problem washing our face in the morning for a nice wake up call. However, we get lazy at night. Washing the day off your face, including make-up, dirt, air pollutants, etc. is important in not only preventing black heads and acne but also keeping your system healthy. Remember, your skin is your biggest organ treat it well!
B - Exfoliate
Brush dry skin away on a monthly basis. Although this can be done more often, we recommend you start monthly as different skin types are affected differently by this. For your body, you can use a body brush with some coconut oil and gently rub it clockwise on your skin. Using oil will help moisturize your skin while the brush is exfoliating it. For your face, it is ideal to use a gentler facial brush or even better, try dermaplaning.
C - Organic products
Choose products that have minimal, organic ingredients, like JLOrganics, Your skin absorbs most of what is put on it within 30 seconds, so make sure you are feeding it good stuff. This will also help prevent unwanted breakouts and blackheads.
