JULIE AND JEN
When these two women met one another, they discovered they had something in common. They were both searching for a particular type of day spa experience, and not finding it. They wanted a place that was clean, modern, and fun. One that offered natural products and was high quality, but priced fairly. Somehow, it simply did not exist. So before too long, this pair decided to create precisely the spa they were seeking.
And they succeeded: Jlounge, located in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, offers a full range of superior day spa treatments in a delightful and relaxing setting that’s fresh, welcoming, and sparkling-clean. It’s a restorative destination where you can get pampered with natural products by an outstanding, attentive team of skincare professionals, massage therapists, and nail care specialists. Jlounge was a dream come true for Julie and Jen, and it will be for you, too.
A West Coast native with a passion for skiing, Julie decided to move from Chicago to Boulder with her two children. She chose Colorado because of her strong college ties and the quality of life she could provide as a fresh start for her family.
Julie spent 25 years in the hospitality industry, and 15 of those years with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Inc. in various guest service and sales and marketing executive-level positions. Always a committed spa and natural-skincare junkie, she knew she could bring outstanding customer service to a different industry, and one that she loves!
In her free time, Julie enjoys, not in any particular order, skiing, cycling, travel, food, friends, family, and of course, spa visits of any kind!
Jennifer has always had a passion for natural and organic skin care products, and started getting facials in her early 20s after moving to Colorado. Realizing that the climate in Boulder can be harsh, she decided that taking care of her skin needed to be top of mind. Jennifer has 20+ years of experience as an esthetician and business owner. She prides herself on quality services, and dedication to her clients through her commitment to natural products and treatments. Jlounge has fulfilled her longtime goal of expanding and growing her business into a full-service spa, and now A skincare line, JLessencials.
Jennifer has raised her 2 boys, Jackson and Caden, in Boulder. In her free time, she enjoys travel, hiking with her dog Skyler, biking, yoga, and spending quality time with friends and family.

What things do you like to do outside of work:
I have always loved all aspects of film.
I used to work for At Work Entertainment in Los Angeles, where I was primarily paid to be part of the laugh track in tv tapings. I found it easy to laugh, even after the sixteenth take. I was also the first student at my University to do an animated film. I continue to be involved in acting and film outside of work. I currently have a wonderful acting coach in Boulder who has pushed me to pursue my passion for acting. One of my favorite movies of all time is: Amelie.
I am the master of finding four leaf clovers, and I love making my own tinctures. This love, I believe, was fostered by attending The Denver School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics.
What do you Love about jlounge:
I love the integrity of the products that jlounge offers. As a service member, it is invaluable to be able to use products (whether skincare, scrubs, wax, etc) that are both environmentally conscious and of high quality. I also LOVE that we can burn real candles.
What I like best about my job:
I love that this jobs offers the opportunity to heal people. Not just aesthetically but energetically as well. To be given the opportunity to have time with an individual in this way is such a gift. I absolutely LOVE that being an esthetician presents the opportunity to improve someone’s exterior appearance, as well as their inner being. I feel fortunate that I found this avenue in my life to be an outlet for positive change in an individual, and to have people leave their session with me feeling better than when they came in.
