Amelia Vargas, L.Ac., LE is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Esthetician with more than two decades of experience in holistic health, integrative skincare, and Eastern medicine. Born and raised in Boulder, Amelia knew from the age of 13 that she wanted to become an acupuncturist, inspired by her early exposure to natural healing and the profound ways the body responds when given the right environment to restore balance.

While studying Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Amelia earned her Esthetician license in 2003 as a practical way to support herself through school. What began as a means to an end quickly became a genuine passion, especially for holistic esthetics, where she discovered how beautifully Eastern medicine philosophies could integrate with advanced skincare. This unique dual foundation has shaped her into a practitioner known for blending ancient healing principles with modern aesthetic therapies. She continued her education with advanced training in facial acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, craniosacral therapy, and Acutonics vibrational tuning fork therapy, all experiences that have deepened her lifelong love of holistic health and beauty, and set the stage for her integrative approach today.

At Jlounge, Amelia integrates acupuncture, electroacupuncture, vibrational tuning forks, microneedling, and holistic skincare to support women’s health, digestive and immune function, stress and anxiety relief, pain reduction and natural aesthetic rejuvenation. Her approach is gentle, intuitive, and grounded in the belief that true wellness and beauty come from within.

Whether she is helping a client regulate cortisol, balance hormones, reduce pain or rejuvenate the skin, Amelia treats every session as an opportunity to reconnect the body’s “circuitry” and support internal health and balance.

As one of Jlounge’s original practitioners, Amelia is deeply connected to the philosophy and community of the spa. She loves offering clients a wide range of services from acupuncture and microneedling to facials and waxing and is passionate about educating other holistic practitioners in integrative microneedling, as well.

She is nationally board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice acupuncture in Colorado (LAc). Traditional training complimentary to acupuncture included electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, tui na, cupping, gua sha, auriculotherapy, dietary and lifestyle recommendations. Over the years, she has developed a deep and growing passion for supporting women’s health and hormonal balance, fertility, and stress management. Though her focus lies in women’s health, she treats a broad spectrum of concerns. Acupuncture and herbs are powerful tools to help the body heal from pain, stress, insomnia, digestive imbalances, headaches, and immunity challenges. Her experience working in a high-volume clinic in Golden, CO was instrumental in shaping her clinical skills and philosophy. She is committed to helping individuals restore balance and cultivate lasting health through acupuncture and herbal medicine.
